After a good labor (starting at 4:30am) Abby decided to join the world and become a screaming part of society at 1:02pm.

NOTE: All the pictures are posted under "Baby Pics" on the "Nursery" page.

Unfortunately Abby had some difficulty making the transition to the world of Oxygen and has been relegated to the NICU. This means she can't have visitors at the moment. Current guesses for Abbys' comming home are this Friday(08/17/01), but again that is just a guess.

Mommy is recovering very well, after also suffering some post partum difficulties. She was able to walk to the NICU and feed Abby yesterday. We are hoping for her to make it home on Friday(08/17/01) as well.

Daddy will attempt to update this page as time allows. He is hoping to give daily updates. The word from the photolab is that the pictures are ready for pick-up. Please see the Nursery page, where they will be posted.

08/16/01 02:30am (yes that's 2:30 am)

Abby is still having trouble regulating her breathing, which is slowing the "learning to eat" process down. The doctors feel once she gets both of these under her belt, it will be safe to let her out of NICU to go home. Current guesses on her comming home have now been extended to the weekend, or just after.

Mommy is still on the road to recovery. She has been freed from the ball and chain (IV) and is now to able walk around freely. Her release date may be decided later this morning.

Daddy was able to get more pictures up on the Nursery page including a few Day 2 shots of Abbys second feeding and Moms' first visit to the NICU.

Mommy Monica was welcomed home today!!!

She was greeted by floral arrangements, balloons and signs, courtesy of our many friends and family. THANK YOU ALL!

Most of our day was spent making the transition from hospital room to the house. This was after spending some very important quality time with miss Abigail.

Abby has made some very critical steps, and it looks like she may be home this weekend.

No new pictures today. Sorry folks, tonight we are making the most of what may be, the last full night of sleep we get in a long time. (See...we are listening)

She's home!!! The baby monitors have been powered up, and Miss Abigail has met the cold wet nose of Mr. Toby. Mom, Abby and Toby are all fairing well. We are all looking forward to greeting the eager grandparents and cousins a bit later this evening. I will try to post more pictures, as I can. Bill

Ok they are up, new pictures of Abby, Mom, and Granny!

Mom is doing better, but not 100% yet. It will take some time to heal, and having little Abby home, has really helped.

Abigails first night at home was a very pleasent one. She was able to stick to her feeding schedule started by the nice people in the Hospital NICU.
Our deepest Thanks, go out to these folks! Without their diligent care, our little girl, may not have made it.

Now it's time to sit back and enjoy the new life that lies before us known as, Abigail Rose Stockton.
